The Put van De Cloedt (formerly "Put van Decloedt") near Knokke-Heist is a former sand extraction pit dating from the early 1950s, later filled with water after being dug down to the clay layer. It spans about 11 hectares and reaches depths of up to 27 meters, making it a significant local waterbody. Since around 2012, the pit has been transformed into Lakeside Paradise, a watersports hub offering wakeboarding, kayaking, water skiing, and more. Adjacent to the water, Put 19—a cozy "19th hole" golf bar—has become a beloved local pub with warm ambiance, live ambiance, and a charming terrace cherished by residents.
