Tanjong Pagar Port Terminal, once Singapore’s historic main container port, sits along the southern coastline at the edge of the Downtown Core. It borders the Singapore Strait, one of the world’s busiest maritime passages used by international shipping routes. Although the terminal’s operations have largely shifted to newer facilities, the area remains a significant landmark in Singapore’s maritime history.
Under an overcast sky, an aerial view captures a vast strait dotted with numerous cargo ships, bordered by a coastal highway and a sprawling port facility with large lots of parked vehicles.
