Traces of Toxin Found in Nestlé Baby Milk Formula Samples

Hong Kong authorities have identified traces of a dangerous toxin in samples of Nestlé's baby milk formula, marking the second instance since batches were recalled due to contamination concerns. The Centre for Food Safety revealed that five samples tested positive for cereulide, a toxic substance produced by the Bacillus cereus bacterium.

The affected products include Nan INFINIPRO2 7HMO, Nan PRO 1 2HMO, and Illuma LUXA 1, with specific batch numbers referenced. This development comes after an initial warning in early January following the recall of 21 batches, which later expanded to 22.
