Pakistan Imran Khan Rejects Release Deals Twice

A top aide to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif revealed that jailed former PM Imran Khan twice rejected 'serious' deals for release. Rana Sanaullah, the prime minister's political advisor, disclosed during a talk show that two attempts were made to negotiate Khan's release, but both failed.

The first attempt was led by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and former PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur before November 26, 2024. The second attempt involved individuals from abroad recently.

Khan initially agreed to the deals but later withdrew. His lawyer, Salman Safdar, reported that Khan lost 85% vision in his right eye while in jail. Khan's sister Noreen Khan accused the government of mistreating him under 'illegitimate' rule.
