Preliminary investigations suggest the bus, carrying 26 passengers from Tolima to Quindio, lost control. The incident occurred on the Helicoil Bridge in the Quindio region.Several passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
Humboldt University, located in Armenia, Colombia, has declared two days of mourning following this immense loss. The university director, Diego Fernando Jaramillo Lopez, stated that the bus was carrying "22 students, two teachers and a communications officer."
