BoJo Calls for European Troops in Ukraine

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made a bold statement regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Speaking in Kyiv during the fourth anniversary of the war, he called upon Europe to take immediate action by deploying non-combat troops to Ukraine.

Johnson criticized Europe for its lack of urgency, stating that only a tenth of the necessary pressure is being applied against Russia. He urged for increased efforts to prevent further escalation and suggested that European troops could help reopen Lviv airport, demonstrating a strong commitment to Ukraine's security.

However, Johnson also cautioned against Europe acting alone, emphasizing the importance of the US-NATO alliance in providing critical military capabilities. He warned that any attempt to undermine the alliance would only embolden Putin and make negotiations impossible.

Additionally, Johnson addressed Europe's continued dependence on Russian energy, calling it a significant financial support for Putin's actions. He stressed the need for Europe to reduce its reliance on Russian resources and to stand in solidarity with Ukraine.
