US asks Ukraine for drone support in Middle East: Zelenskyy

US Asks Ukraine for Drone Support in Middle East

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed a request from the United States to help counter Iranian drone attacks in the Middle East. Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of protecting against 'shaheds,' referring to Iranian-designed drones, and stated that Ukraine is prepared to provide expert support and interceptors to assist US allies in the region.

Zelenskyy revealed that Ukraine has developed advanced drone interceptors, which were effective during the Russian invasion, and proposed a swap deal with US allies in exchange for their air defense missiles. He highlighted the need for collective efforts to address regional security challenges.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump criticized Zelenskyy's progress in peace efforts, urging him to 'get on the ball' and achieve a deal. Trump acknowledged the complexity of ending the Ukraine-Russia conflict but stressed the importance of continued international cooperation in the region.

This strategic cooperation between Ukraine and the US underscores the critical role of partnerships in addressing complex security challenges.
