Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon have resulted in the tragic loss of 12 medical workers at a healthcare center in Burj Qalawiya, according to Lebanese health authorities. The strike targeted a clinic, killing doctors, paramedics, and nurses. Another strike in Sawaneh killed two paramedics affiliated with Hezbollah and its ally Amal. Israeli strikes continued in southern Lebanon on Friday, with an attack in Miyeh w Miyeh near Sidon killing eight people.

Hezbollah launched attacks against Israeli forces as part of its Quds Day operations, which support the Palestinian cause. Lebanon is increasingly drawn into the regional conflict following strikes on Iran targeting Hezbollah's leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Israel has warned Lebanon of increasing consequences for Hezbollah's actions.

Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that strikes on infrastructure are only the beginning. Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem emphasized preparation for a prolonged conflict. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun offered to negotiate with Israel but received no response.

The conflict shows no signs of abating, with both sides prepared for prolonged confrontations.
