The Iranian military has issued a stark warning to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding potential attacks on two contested Gulf islands. In a statement carried by Tasnim news agency, Iran's operational command, Khatam Al-Anbiya, cautioned that any further aggression from UAE territory targeting Abu Musa and Greater Tunb islands would result in heavy strikes against Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE. These islands, which are under Iranian control but claimed by the UAE, have long been a flashpoint between the two nations. The strategic Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20% of the world's oil passes, has seen increased tensions following recent military actions in the region.
