ICE Agents Deployed to Aid TSA Amid Government Shutdown

A white house border czar Tom Homan mentioned that ICE agents will be deployed to airports across the country starting Monday to help TSA officers who have been working without pay for over five weeks due to the partial Homeland Security shutdown. Homan emphasized that ICE agents are highly trained and can effectively cover exits to ensure security while allowing TSA officers to focus on reducing long lines at checkpoints. Despite the ongoing impasse, Elon Musk offered to cover salaries of TSA personnel during the funding dispute.
