Zelenskyy stated Ukraine's drone strikes will continue until Russia stops its offensive. Talks in Istanbul led to prisoner exchange agreement.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine will continue its drone strikes against Russia until Moscow ends its offensive.
Speaking after peace talks in Istanbul, Zelenskyy described the recent drone attack as a successful strategic operation, weakening Russia's military. The attack targeted Russia's bomber fleet.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia's daily assaults, including large-scale drone attacks, necessitate a continued response from Ukraine. "Unless they will stop, we will continue," he said.
He also addressed the potential role of the US in the peace process, hoping for stronger measures to force Russia to end the war.
The meeting in Istanbul saw both sides agree to exchange severely wounded and ill prisoners of war, as well as the bodies of fallen soldiers.
While Ukraine has proposed a 30-day ceasefire, Russia rejected the proposal, with President Putin sticking to the same broad war goals.
