Porsche Denies Plans to Shift Final Assembly to the US

Porsche has refuted reports that it plans to move the final assembly of its vehicles to the United States. A spokesperson dismissed a Bloomberg report suggesting the move was under consideration to mitigate tariff effects.

Tariff Concerns and Market Challenges

Porsche, like Audi, currently does not manufacture in the U.S., making it vulnerable to tariffs, especially given declining demand, competition in China, and slow electric vehicle adoption.

Official Statement

A spokesperson for the carmaker clarified that no such plans are in place.

Volkswagen Group's U.S. Expansion

While CEO Oliver Blume, who also heads Volkswagen Group, discussed expanding VW's U.S. presence with massive investments, he did not confirm assembly relocation plans. CFO Jochen Breckner previously stated localization was not sensible due to low sales volumes.

Audi's U.S. Production Plans
