Bangladesh Nationalist Party accuses India of conspiring to reinstate Awami League, alleging corruption and suppression of dissent. BNP delegation to visit Chin
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has accused India of plotting to reinstate the Awami League, branding the ruling party as "fascist."
According to senior BNP member Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Indian policymakers are unwilling to accept the potential downfall of Sheikh Hasina. Rizvi alleged that targeted conspiracies began following a meeting in London between Muhammad Yunus and Tarique Rahman.
Rizvi stated that despite progress toward democracy in Bangladesh, significant challenges remain, including the disappearance and harassment of BNP activists.
He criticized the Awami League government's alleged embezzlement of public funds, which were purportedly laundered to countries like Canada and Malaysia. He added that the Awami League has manipulated media to control public opinion but claimed that the people of Bangladesh will not be silenced.
A BNP delegation is scheduled to visit China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China.
