China Bridge Collapse: Truck Dangles After Landslide
A dramatic incident unfolded in Guizhou province, China, where a cargo truck was left dangling precariously from a collapsed highway bridge.
Landslide Triggered Collapse
The collapse occurred on the Xiamen–Chengdu Expressway in Zunyi city following a landslide caused by torrential rains. The truck's front cabin was left hanging in mid-air.
Driver's Escape
The truck driver, You Guochun, recounted the terrifying experience, describing how the bridge suddenly disappeared in front of him. Fortunately, emergency services swiftly responded, and firefighters were able to rescue him. No injuries were reported.
Aftermath
Authorities later confirmed that three vehicles were found beneath the wreckage. Thankfully, none were occupied at the time of the incident.
