Jack Dorsey Reacts to Bitcoin Wallet's New Payment Option

Jack Dorsey, a prominent Bitcoin advocate and co-founder of Twitter, has responded positively to Block's recent update to its self-custody Bitcoin wallet, Bitkey.

Bitkey's New Payment Feature

Block, formerly Square, launched Bitkey in December 2023, allowing users complete control over their digital assets. Initially, Bitkey purchases couldn't be made with Bitcoin.

However, on June 28th, Block introduced Bitcoin as a payment option, a move welcomed by Dorsey, who shared the update with his X followers, stating, "buy bitkey with bitcoin."

Dorsey's Bitcoin Advocacy

Dorsey has long been a proponent of Bitcoin payments, even stating he would work solely on Bitcoin if not for his roles at Twitter and Block.

He predicts Bitcoin's price will reach $1 million by 2030 and emphasizes the importance of Bitcoin evolving into a practical tool to maintain relevance.

Bitcoin was trading at $107,490.20 at the time of reporting.
