At least 82 Palestinians lost their lives overnight in Gaza due to a series of airstrikes and shootings, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry and hospital officials. Among the deceased, a heartbreaking 38 were killed while attempting to access critical humanitarian aid.
Airstrikes Target Aid Distribution and Shelters
Local authorities have described the recent violence as one of the deadliest episodes in weeks. Five of the 38 individuals killed while seeking aid were near facilities associated with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. Additional casualties occurred from intense overnight airstrikes, with 15 people killed when tents were struck in the overcrowded Muwasi area, sheltering displaced Palestinians.
Rising Death Toll and Ceasefire Negotiations
The overall death toll from the conflict has surpassed 57,000, as reported by Gaza’s Health Ministry. Ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas are ongoing, with Hamas emphasizing its demand for a complete end to the war.
