A nationwide recall of Oscar Mayer turkey bacon is in effect due to possible Listeria contamination. Check your product's codes and dates!
Heads up, turkey bacon lovers! Just in time for the July 4th holiday, a nationwide recall has been issued for Oscar Mayer turkey bacon due to potential Listeria contamination. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall after laboratory tests revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in certain Kraft Heinz products. Approximately 367,812 pounds of turkey bacon are affected.
The recall includes 12-ounce, 36-ounce, and 48-ounce packages of Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon Original with various "use by" dates in July and August 2025. You can identify the recalled products by checking the UPC code and lot code printed on the packaging. The recalled products were sold nationwide in America, with some also being exported to Hong Kong and the British Virgin Islands.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. If you have purchased any of the recalled turkey bacon, do not consume it. Discard it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. For more information, you can visit the FSIS website.
