Camp Mystic and Heart O' the Hills Mourn

Among the victims are eight-year-old Renee Smajstrla, who was attending Camp Mystic, and Jane Ragsdale, the longtime director of Heart O' the Hills camp.

Renee Smajstrla was remembered fondly in a Facebook post by her uncle, who noted she was "having the time of her life" at Camp Mystic. The camp, located near Hunt, Texas, is a Christian summer camp for girls and has been a central point in the ongoing tragedy.

Jane Ragsdale, described as the "heart and soul" of Heart O' the Hills, is also mourned by her camp community. Ragsdale dedicated her life to the camp, starting as a camper and eventually becoming its director.
