Urgent Search Underway for Elderly Man with Dementia Missing in Hong Kong's Tuen Mun

The Hong Kong Police Force has launched an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating an 87-year-old man, Leung Woon-yew, who has been reported missing since Sunday. Mr. Leung, who suffers from dementia, was last seen in the Tuen Mun district.

Details of Disappearance

Mr. Leung, a resident of Tai Hing Estate in Tuen Mun, was last observed at approximately 11 am on Sunday. His last confirmed sighting was in Shan King Estate on Shek Pai Tau Road. Family members have confirmed that he had lunch with them around 1 pm near King Lai House within Shan King Estate, following which he was expected to return home.

Description of Mr. Leung

Authorities have provided a detailed physical description of Mr. Leung to aid in the search efforts. He is described as being around 1.7 meters (5 feet 7 inches) tall and weighing approximately 55 kilograms (121 pounds). He has a medium build, a distinctive round face, a yellow complexion, and short grey hair.

At the time of his disappearance, Leung Woon-yew was wearing a specific outfit: a black, white, and grey camouflage jacket, paired with black jeans, and black trainers.
