Massive Vice Raid in Kuala Lumpur Nabs 201 Men, Including Top Civil Servants

A significant joint enforcement operation in Kuala Lumpur has led to the detention of 201 men at a "men-only" wellness center along Jalan Raja Laut. The dramatic raid uncovered alleged illicit activities and notably included a number of high-profile civil servants among those arrested.

High-Ranking Officials Among Detainees

The surprise operation, conducted around 8 PM on November 28, involved the Kuala Lumpur police, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), and the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi). Of the 201 men, aged between 19 and 60, a startling 17 were identified as civil servants. This group reportedly included a surgeon, a deputy public prosecutor, an administrative and diplomatic officer (PTD), a teacher, and several enforcement officers, raising serious questions about public sector ethics.

Wellness Center Used as a Front for Immoral Activities

According to Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Mohd Azani Omar, the two-storey premises had been under intelligence and surveillance for two weeks following numerous public complaints. "Investigations revealed that immoral activities were allegedly taking place on the premises involving male patrons," DCP Azani stated.

The center, which had reportedly been operating for the past eight months, cleverly disguised itself as a health and wellness facility. It offered a gym, sauna, spa, swimming pool, and designated rest areas exclusively for men. Customers were charged a minimal RM10 lifetime registration fee and RM35 per visit. Authorities believe the operators extensively utilized social media to promote the establishment, creating a platform for patrons to connect and mingle.

Diverse Nationalities and Legal Repercussions

The individuals detained were not only locals but also included citizens from South Korea, Indonesia, Germany, and China. Police are investigating the case under Section 387B of the Penal Code, which pertains to unnatural sexual acts. Concurrently, Jawi took action against 80 Muslim men under Section 29 of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Federal Territories) Act for indecent behavior in a public place.

All detainees were transported to the Dang Wangi police headquarters for further action. The venue had reportedly gained notoriety online within groups seeking social connections, with some visitors hinting at "special services" being offered.
