Texas A&M University Cancels Women's and Gender Studies Programs

Texas A&M University in College Station has decided to cancel its women's and gender studies programs as part of a broader effort to eliminate teaching related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). The university stated that it modified hundreds of courses and canceled six others to comply with a new policy prohibiting the advocacy of race or gender ideologies without approval from the campus president.

Critics, including an associate professor at Texas A&M, condemned the move as political interference, while right-leaning think tanks celebrated the decision. Other universities have also curtailed similar programs in recent years.
