Interpol Issues Red Notice for Indonesian Oil Tycoon

Interpol has issued a red notice for the arrest of Mohammad Riza Chalid, an Indonesian oil tycoon accused in a $285 million corruption case involving state-owned oil company Pertamina. The notice was issued on January 23 and is now active across Interpol's 196 member countries.

Chalid, known as the 'gasoline godfather,' is wanted for his alleged involvement in corruption and money laundering at Pertamina between 2018 and 2023. This includes manipulating a lease agreement, according to police sources. Indonesia's National Central Bureau of Interpol confirmed the red notice and stated that Chalid is currently under surveillance in an Interpol member country.
