Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC Today show host Savannah Guthrie, has been reported missing from her home near Tucson, Arizona. Authorities are treating the situation as a potential crime and have declared her residence a crime scene.

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Nancy was last seen on Saturday, January 31st, in the Catalina Foothills area north of Tucson. Her family reported her missing after she didn't show up at church on Sunday and couldn't be reached.

Law enforcement officials noted that there were concerning signs at her home and have called in homicide detectives due to unusual conditions. Nancy is described as being about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She lives alone near East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenue.

A broad search effort involving volunteers, drones, helicopters, and search dogs has not yet found her. Savannah Guthrie was absent from the Today show on Monday as the search continued. In a statement read by colleagues, she thanked law enforcement and the public for their support and urged anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s department.

Neighbors have been asked to check their home security footage for any unusual activity and to report it. No further details or suspects have been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
