A Fly Jinnah flight, FL-842, traveling from Karachi to Lahore, faced a terrifying experience on Saturday due to a sudden and severe sandstorm.
The aircraft was compelled to abort its landing and execute a go-around maneuver because of the extreme turbulence and unstable landing conditions. Passengers experienced intense panic during the event.
According to reports, one passenger described how the plane initially touched down, but was immediately forced to take off again when a powerful sandstorm hit. The aircraft was thrown around violently.
Severe weather conditions disrupted flights across Lahore and Islamabad. In Lahore, at least 22 flights were either delayed, diverted, or forced to return. Islamabad airport also faced significant disruptions due to heavy rain and hailstorms.
The pilot safely regained control of the aircraft, following instructions from air traffic control, and redirected the flight back to Karachi.
