Drone Strikes Damage Amazon's Data Centers

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has reported incidents of drone strikes damaging two data centers in the United Arab Emirates and a facility in Bahrain. These attacks are linked to ongoing conflict in the Middle East, resulting in service outages and operational challenges.

The company emphasized that due to physical damage, recovery efforts will be prolonged. Customers with workloads in affected regions are advised to backup data and consider migrating their operations to other AWS regions to minimize impact.

Additionally, delivery delays have been reported across the region as a result of military actions. AWS has issued notices to customers in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE regarding extended delivery times.
