A tragic incident occurred in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, where a 75-year-old man lost his life after being struck by a taxi. The accident happened near the junction of Hip Wo Street and Yuet Wah Street, as the elderly pedestrian was crossing the road. The taxi, traveling along Hip Wo Street towards Sau Mau Ping, collided with the man, causing him to fall onto the vehicle's bonnet and subsequently to the ground. He sustained severe head injuries and other bodily injuries, according to the Hong Kong police. The victim was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei, where he was pronounced dead at 9:17 am the following day. The scene left a noticeable dent in the taxi's bonnet and a slipper, believed to be the man's, was found at the location. The incident remains under investigation by the Hong Kong police.
