Arkham Intelligence exposed MicroStrategy's Bitcoin wallets, going against Michael Saylor's warnings. The revealed holdings amount to $54.5 billion.
Arkham Intelligence has revealed MicroStrategy's Bitcoin wallet addresses, a move that contradicts warnings from Executive Chairman Michael Saylor.
Arkham Intelligence claims to have identified an additional 70,816 BTC belonging to MicroStrategy, bringing the total to $54.5 billion. This represents 87.5% of their total BTC holdings. Arkham posted on X, “SAYLOR SAID HE WOULD NEVER REVEAL HIS ADDRESSES ... SO WE DID,”
Saylor, a vocal critic of on-chain proof-of-reserves, has argued that publishing wallet addresses makes entities vulnerable to attacks. He likened it to exposing personal financial details. He warned of increased vulnerability to hackers and nation-state actors by publishing wallet addresses.
Saylor advocated instead for self-custody and verification by a Big Four auditor as safer methods for verifying reserves.
