Colorado Fire Attack: Suspect Planned Attack for a Year, FBI Says

A man in Colorado, identified as Mohammed Sabry Soliman, is accused of planning for a year before allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails at a pro-Israel demonstration on Sunday.

Federal and state charges, including a federal hate crime and attempted murder, have been filed against the Egyptian national.

Authorities reported that Soliman targeted the demonstrators at the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, shouting "Free Palestine" as he launched the incendiary devices, injuring eight people.

Sixteen unlit Molotov cocktails were also discovered at the scene.

According to investigators, Soliman admitted to planning the attack, motivated by hatred towards Zionists. He also reportedly confessed to watching online videos to learn how to make Molotov cocktails.

Prior to the attack, Soliman allegedly dressed as a gardener to get closer to the group.

He had previously applied for asylum in the US and worked as a food delivery driver.

The incident has sparked outrage, with officials condemning the attack as an act of antisemitism.
