Antonio Brown is reportedly wanted for attempted murder after a May incident at a Miami boxing event. He allegedly shot at a man, grazing his neck.
Former NFL star Antonio Brown is reportedly under investigation for attempted murder following an altercation at a boxing event in Miami in May.
Authorities are seeking to arrest Brown based on a warrant obtained by the Washington Post, which requires a $10,000 bond and house arrest pending trial. The incident occurred on May 16th, when police responded to a gunshot detection system alert.
An off-duty officer reported witnessing Brown in a physical fight. Witnesses identified Brown as the shooter, although he was not found with a weapon at the time. Police discovered shell casings and an empty holster at the scene.
Brown claimed on X that he was attacked and people attempted to steal his jewelry. Video footage reportedly shows Brown initiating a fight, grabbing a security officer's gun, and approaching the initial victim.
The alleged victim stated that Brown shot at him twice, possibly grazing his neck. A struggle ensued over the gun until police arrived.
Brown has faced multiple legal issues, including a $1.2 million settlement for assaulting a moving truck driver in 2020, domestic violence charges (later dropped), and an arrest for unpaid child support. He also filed for bankruptcy last year.
