Drunk Delta Passenger Causes Flight Delay
A Delta Air Lines flight from Dallas to Boston faced significant delays on April 14th because of an intoxicated passenger who refused to leave the aircraft.
The Incident
Police bodycam footage shows the woman, named Alicia, declining to disembark. She admitted to having consumed six glasses of wine prior to boarding the flight, which was already delayed. Airline staff requested her removal due to her inebriated state, but she refused.
Police Intervention
When Alicia refused to cooperate, police intervened. She resisted, stating her distrust of the state. Officers informed her that her refusal would result in the entire flight being deboarded, leading to her forced removal.
Aftermath
Upon leaving the plane, she spat on the ground and was met with boos from inconvenienced passengers. Alicia was arrested for criminal trespassing and public intoxication. Video footage showed her kicking the police vehicle and subsequently asking for a cigarette and her vape. The incident caused considerable disruption for other passengers.
