PTI supporters protested in Washington D.C. over rumors of Asim Munir's US visit. No evidence of his presence was found, fueling further speculation.
Supporters of incarcerated PTI leader Imran Khan, including numerous Pakistani expats from across the United States, gathered in front of the Pakistan Embassy in Washington D.C. to protest the reported visit of Pakistan's army chief, Asim Munir.
The protests were fueled by rumors of Munir's presence in the US, but the army chief was nowhere to be seen. Despite claims, The White House and former Trump administration officials have said that no foreign dignitaries had been invited, including Munir.
PTI activists accused the Embassy of hiding General Asim Munir, who they described as the "perpetrator behind constitutional violations, stolen public mandate, and grave human rights abuses in Pakistan!"
Adding to the spectacle, PTI activists deployed digital vans throughout the US capital, displaying videos and posters denouncing Munir. Furthermore, pro-Munir billboards surprisingly appeared in New York City's Times Square. The situation added more confusion to if he was in the United States or not.
