Donald Trump criticizes Rep. Thomas Massie for opposing the Iran strike, urging MAGA supporters to abandon him. Massie cites war concerns.
Former President Donald Trump has publicly rebuked Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie for his criticism of the U.S. strike in Iran.
Trump stated, "Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky is not MAGA...MAGA should drop this pathetic LOSER, Tom Massie, like the plague!" He accuses Massie of being a "grandstander" and obstructing progress.
Massie had expressed reservations about the constitutionality of the strike and the potential for escalating conflicts, particularly concerning Iran's nuclear ambitions. He said it was a "good week for the neocons in the military industrial complex who want war all the time."
Trump has thrown his support behind a primary challenger to Massie, pledging to campaign against him in Kentucky, emphasizing his opposition to "lazy, grandstanding, nonproductive politicians."
Massie, together with Democrat Ro Khanna, previously introduced a resolution aimed at preventing U.S. military action in an Israel-Iran conflict without congressional consent.
