Russian Missile Strikes Devastate Dnipropetrovsk Region

Russian air strikes on southeastern Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region have resulted in at least 17 fatalities, including a young child. The attacks have inflicted damage on critical infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and a passenger train.

The timing of the strikes coincides with President Zelensky's arrival at a NATO summit in the Netherlands. Ukrainian officials accuse Russia of deliberately sabotaging peace talks and escalating the conflict. The attacks follow a pattern of intensified strikes leading up to anticipated diplomatic engagements, such as the barrage on Kyiv prior to a planned meeting between Zelensky and then US President Trump at the G7 summit.
