Jon Jones Car Crash: Body Cam Footage Shows Threats to Police

Body cam footage released by Albuquerque Police reveals former UFC champion Jon Jones allegedly threatening officers after a February car accident.

The footage, obtained by the Albuquerque Journal, shows a police safety aide responding to the crash. A woman at the scene identified Jones as the driver and claimed he made threats of violence via phone, stating his “brothers” would harm people.

Jones is facing a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene. His attorney, Christopher Dodd, claims the charges are baseless and result from a false allegation by the woman to avoid a DWI arrest.

According to the police report, the woman and Jones had been drinking, and she stated that she had reservations about drinking with Jones due to prior issues. The woman claims her last memory of driving was prior to the accident.

Jones faces a court appearance on July 24.
