British Man Arrested at Disneyland Paris Over Fake Wedding

A 39-year-old British man has been arrested in France following a disturbing incident at Disneyland Paris. He is accused of staging a fake wedding ceremony involving a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl.

Details of the Staged Event

The man, wanted in the UK for sex offenses, allegedly hired approximately 100 extras to participate in the event. One man reported being paid €12,000 to portray the bride's father. Disneyland staff intervened, halting the ceremony after realizing the bride's true age.

The venue had been privately booked for an estimated cost of $150,000.

Arrests and Investigation

Authorities also arrested three other individuals: a 24-year-old Latvian woman who posed as the bride's sister, the 41-year-old Ukrainian mother of the girl and a 55-year-old Latvian man. Investigations revealed that the girl was not subjected to any physical or sexual abuse.

Preliminary findings also revealed that the British man had allegedly been made-up professionally so that his face appeared totally different from his own.
