Ten additional bodies were recovered overnight. The Civil Hospital confirmed receiving the deceased and treating the injured. Rescue operations are ongoing, with crews using heavy machinery to locate at least eight individuals believed to be trapped.

Building collapses are unfortunately common in Pakistan due to lax construction standards and substandard materials. A similar incident occurred in June 2020 when an apartment building collapse in Karachi claimed 22 lives.
