According to author Michael Wolff, Jeffrey Epstein reportedly sent a cryptic final message hours before his death in a New York jail cell. The message offers a chilling glimpse into Epstein's state of mind prior to his death.

The Final Message

Wolff revealed Epstein’s final words, delivered through a lawyer on a Friday evening in August 2019, just hours before Epstein was found dead the next morning at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre. When asked how he was, Epstein reportedly said, ‘Still hanging around.’

Wolff believes this was the last message Epstein ever sent. “I believe that I got the last message from him before he died,” Wolff said.

Controversies and Reactions

The disgraced financier, convicted of sex trafficking, had previously asked Wolff to write a book about him. A 2023 report by the US Department of Justice ruled Epstein's death a suicide. Many believe he was murdered to protect powerful people.

Trump’s communications director Steven Cheung dismissed Wolff’s claims, stating that “Michael Wolff is a lying sack of s*** and has been proven to be a fraud.”

In an earlier interview, Trump had described Epstein as a “terrific guy.”
