Tornadoes Devastate Central US
Strong tornadoes ripped through parts of Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado on Sunday, causing widespread damage and power outages.
Impact in Kansas
The small town of Grinnell, Kansas, was particularly hard hit. A tornado tore the roof off a church and destroyed several other buildings. Interstate 70 experienced closures due to power failure.
Colorado Tornadoes
Near Denver, Colorado, multiple tornadoes were reported. In Bennett, 17 buildings were damaged, including six homes. Elbert County saw damage to 19 homes, leaving many without electricity.
Continued Threat
The National Weather Service warns that severe weather, including tornadoes, strong winds, and hailstorms, will persist. The threat is expected to shift eastward.
