The White House experienced a brief lockdown on Tuesday following a security incident.
Incident Details
According to reports, someone threw a phone over the fence, triggering immediate security protocols. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the incident, stating, "Somebody threw their phone over the fence."
Secret Service agents responded swiftly to the object thrown over the North Lawn fence. The event occurred around midday, leading to a temporary disruption.
Security Measures
Journalists awaiting Education Secretary Linda McMahon's Fox News appearance were relocated to the James S. Brady Briefing Room. Pennsylvania Avenue was temporarily closed as part of the security measures.
The lockdown was lifted by 11:56 am (local time), and reporters were allowed to return to the North Lawn. Reporters had reassembled in the Palm Room by 12:20 pm, before President Donald Trump's scheduled departure for Pennsylvania.

Previous Incident
This follows a previous incident earlier this year, where a child crawled through the fence. The child was quickly reunited with their parents, according to Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi.
