NYPD Officer's Father Suffers Stroke After Son's Death; Wife Hospitalized

Upon receiving the devastating news of his son's death, Didarul Islam's father experienced a stroke and is currently receiving medical care in a hospital.
Officer's Wife Also Hospitalized
The officer's pregnant wife was also admitted to the hospital due to the severe emotional distress caused by the tragic incident.Officer Islam, who dedicated three years to the NYPD's 47th Precinct in the Bronx, was fatally shot in the lobby of a 44-story building on Park Avenue when a gunman initiated gunfire.
The perpetrator, Shane Devon Tamura, ended his own life after fatally shooting four other people and injuring one.
