A Las Vegas CEO received a pig's head and threatening letter after discussing AI in real estate. Police are investigating the incident.
Blake Owens, CEO of Agrippa in Las Vegas, was recently targeted with a disturbing act of intimidation: the delivery of a bloodied pig's head accompanied by a threatening letter.
The incident seems to be connected to Owens' recent interview where he discussed the increasing role of artificial intelligence in the real estate industry.
The anonymous letter, signed only with the initial 'M,' expressed disapproval of Owens' perspective, arguing that traditional brokers, not technology, built the real estate sector. "saw your Marcus video, what a joke."
Despite the unsettling nature of the delivery, Owens remains calm and views the situation as an opportunity to address the growing anxieties surrounding the rapid development of AI.
He emphasized that embracing change and adapting to AI will ultimately prove beneficial. "I think a lot of people are afraid of change and what’s coming with AI... But the more you embrace it, the better you’ll do".
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
