A recent report from MS Now has cast a significant spotlight on FBI Director Kash Patel, alleging the deployment of an elite FBI Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team for the personal protection of his girlfriend, country music singer and political commentator Alexis Wilkins. This purported arrangement comes amidst a flurry of controversies surrounding Patel, many of which reportedly involve Wilkins.

Unprecedented Security Detail Sparks Outcry

The MS Now report specifically claims that Wilkins' security detail is composed of specialized FBI agents, typically assigned to high-risk SWAT operations within the Nashville field office. Such a deployment for a director's girlfriend is being labeled as highly unusual and unprecedented by former FBI agents.

Christopher O'Leary, a former senior FBI agent and contributor to MS NOW, voiced strong disapproval regarding the alleged deployment. He stated emphatically, “There is no legitimate justification for this. This is a clear abuse of position and misuse of government resources.” O'Leary further highlighted the distinction, emphasizing that Wilkins is neither Patel's spouse nor shares a residence with him. He drew a comparison to previous instances where security was provided to a director's spouse, citing former FBI Director Christopher Wray’s wife, Helen, who received a security detail while living with Wray in their Atlanta home.

Patel's Defense and Broader Controversies

The revelation adds to a series of challenges faced by Patel. His relationship with Wilkins has been the subject of various conspiracy theories, including unsubstantiated claims by some staunch MAGA supporters that Wilkins is a Mossad agent engaged in a 'honeytrap' operation. Patel has strongly defended Wilkins, asserting her patriotism and declaring her as "family," insisting she should not be targeted despite his own public role. He has made it clear that Alexis Wilkins is not just his girlfriend but his partner.

This incident also surfaces as Patel navigates other contentious issues. He previously garnered criticism from some former admirers within the MAGA community after affirming that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, a stance that contradicted earlier narratives. Furthermore, Patel, who once questioned the use of government jets for personal travel by previous FBI directors, has reportedly faced similar accusations himself. Adding to the friction, Wilkins has initiated legal action against several MAGA influencers spreading the Mossad conspiracy theory, a move that has further alienated some segments of the MAGA base who view Patel's staunch defense of his "partner" as problematic, given she is not his wife.

As of now, the FBI has not yet issued an official response to the MS Now report regarding the alleged security deployment.
