The widespread aerial assault had immediate repercussions, with Russia's aviation watchdog confirming that at least eight Russian airports were compelled to suspend operations during the night for safety reasons.

Human Impact and Infrastructure Damage

The human cost of the attacks was evident in the southern Krasnodar region. In the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban, two individuals sustained injuries, as reported by the local emergencies centre. Furthermore, the drone threat prompted the suspension of classes at schools and kindergartens in the area, prioritizing the safety of children and educators.

Infrastructure also bore the brunt of the assault. In the Rostov region, where seven drones were successfully downed, an electricity pylon suffered damage. This incident plunged over 200 homes into darkness, leaving them without power, according to a statement from local governor Yuri Slyusar shared on the Telegram messaging app.
