Owens has now broadened her assassination narrative to include conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. She claims that Kirk's alleged assassin received training with the French Foreign Legion's 13th Brigade, suggesting multi-state complicity in the scheme. Remarkably, this extraordinary theory has received an unexpected boost from none other than Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram.
Durov publicly stated, "French intelligence services are not unknown for assassinations," adding a layer of perceived plausibility to Owens' assertions regarding French involvement in Kirk's reported demise. He also pointed to Kirk's past criticisms of Macron’s France, including calls for 300% tariffs on France until charges against Durov himself were dropped, as potentially relevant context.
