Thai Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Miss Universe Co-Owner Over US$930,000 Fraud Allegations

A co-owner of the Miss Universe Organization, Jakkaphong “Anne” Jakrajutatip, is currently facing an arrest warrant issued by a Thai court amidst serious fraud allegations. This development comes as the prominent business figure failed to appear for a scheduled hearing in Bangkok, leading authorities to classify her as a flight risk. The case involves an alleged US$930,000 (30 million baht) fraud related to the sale of corporate bonds.

Court Issues Warrant After Missed Appearance

The Bangkok South District Court issued the warrant on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, after Ms. Jakrajutatip missed her required court appearance on Tuesday. She had previously been charged with fraud in 2023 but was released on bail. Her absence without prior notification prompted the court to take a sterner stance, deeming her a flight risk. The hearing has since been rescheduled for December 26.

Details of the Fraud Case

According to the court’s statement, Ms. Jakrajutatip and her company, JKN Global Group, are being sued by Raweewat Maschamadol. Mr. Maschamadol alleges that an investment he made in the company's corporate bonds in 2023 resulted in a significant loss of 30 million baht, or approximately US$930,000, due to fraudulent practices. This incident adds to a challenging period for the Miss Universe brand, which has recently been embroiled in various controversies and allegations.
