The alleged secret daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Luiza Rozova, found herself in an unexpected and poignant confrontation on the streets of Paris regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine. Ukrainian journalist Dmytro Sviatnenko, whose brother, drone pilot Volodymyr, was tragically killed in a Russian airstrike in November, approached Rozova, imploring her to intervene with her alleged father to end the devastating conflict.
Sviatnenko directly challenged Rozova, stating, “Three weeks ago, your father killed my brother.” He pressed her on her stance regarding Putin’s policies. Rozova, visibly uncomfortable, covered her mouth with a mask and retorted, “I did not give you permission to film me.” Despite her initial defensiveness, the 22-year-old DJ expressed remorse, adding, “I’m really sorry that this is happening. Unfortunately, I’m not responsible for this situation.”
The journalist persisted, highlighting the dire situation in Kyiv—without power and under constant air raid alerts—and reiterated his question about her feelings toward her alleged father's actions. Rozova responded with apparent detachment, asking, “What does that have to do with me?” Sviatnenko then directly suggested she call Putin and urge him, “Dad, stop shelling Kyiv.” While Rozova offered a non-committal “Well, of course,” she quickly cited travel difficulties as a barrier to any such intervention.
In a desperate plea, Sviatnenko even offered to purchase her a plane ticket to Ukraine, half-jokingly suggesting she could “perform better than any Patriot air defence system” in ending the “mess” in his country. Rozova, however, maintained her position, replying, “Unfortunately, I can’t help you. I’m very sorry.”
Luiza Rozova, born in 2003, is widely believed to be the love child of Vladimir Putin and his former mistress, Svetlana Krivonogikh, who reportedly transformed from a cleaner into a multimillionaire. Her alleged connection to the Russian president first came to public light in 2020 through Russian media outlet Proekt. The outlet pointed to her “phenomenal resemblance” to Putin and noted that while his name wasn't on her birth certificate, her patronymic “Vladimirovna” strongly implied “daughter of Vladimir.”
An art school graduate, Rozova typically maintained a low public profile. However, she became more active on social media, occasionally hinting at her struggles. In an August Telegram post, without directly naming Putin, she seemed to condemn his actions, writing, “It’s liberating to be able to show my face to the world again” and “It reminds me of who I am and who destroyed my life.” This latest public confrontation adds another layer to the complex narrative surrounding her identity and her alleged link to one of the world's most powerful, and controversial, figures.
