Alok Kumar, Goa's Director General of Police, confirmed that the bodies of most victims were discovered near the kitchen, strongly indicating that they were employees of the establishment. Goa's Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, detailed that three people died from severe burn injuries, while others succumbed to smoke inhalation and suffocation. He also stated that "three to four" tourists were among the dead, though their nationalities or ages were not immediately provided.
