A suspect was fatally shot by deputies following a deadly stabbing attack outside a home in Gig Harbor, Washington. Four individuals lost their lives in the incident, which unfolded on Tuesday morning. Among the victims, one was transported to the hospital but later passed away.
The attack occurred near Tacoma and involved a man who had a history of mental health struggles and substance abuse. The suspect had failed to appear at a restraining order hearing, leading authorities to issue a no-contact order. Deputies were dispatched to deliver the order when the suspect began the stabbing rampage, which lasted for approximately three minutes.
Officers arrived shortly after receiving reports of the attack and quickly took action, shooting the suspect dead at the scene. The Pierce County Force Investigation Team is currently leading an ongoing probe into both the stabbings and the deputy-involved shooting. The victims’ identities are yet to be publicly confirmed.
