Ottawa Police Seek Indian Man in Sexual Assault Case

Police in Ottawa are looking for an Indian man wanted in connection with a sexual assault incident that occurred on November 29, 2025. The suspect, described as an East Indian man with a salt and pepper beard, was wearing a black turban and a grey and black plaid jacket at the time of the incident.

The incident took place at a business on March Road near Maxwell Bridge Road. Investigators from the Ottawa Police Service have released this information to assist the public in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is urged to contact the West Criminal Investigations Section.

In a related matter, a former police officer, Uday Jaswal, was charged with sexual assault in 2011 while serving as an inspector. He was later released on conditions, including not to communicate with the complainant and staying away from her. This case is still under investigation.
