According to Fox4, Song allegedly opened fire on law enforcement officers using two AR-15-style rifles from a concealed position. Investigators believe he was part of a group of about 10 to 12 individuals involved in the coordinated attack on the facility.

Charges and Investigation

Song faces six federal charges, including attempted murder of a federal officer. The officers included two correctional officers and an Alvarado police officer, who was shot in the neck and is expected to recover.

Song is a 32-year-old Dallas, Texas resident. He served in the US Marine Corps Reserves from 2011 to 2016, receiving an other than honorable discharge. Following the attack, he reportedly hid in nearby woods and may have been seen at DFW Airport. The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest, describing him as armed and dangerous.
